Originally from Belfast, Gary studied theology in Aberdeen before completing his D. Phil at Oxford. He served for 17 years as a pastor in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland and was involved in both church revitalization and church planting, before moving to Brisbane to lead the team at Queensland Theological College in 2012.
